Stop Treating Yourself Worse Than You Treat Strangers

With love in the air and on our minds, it’s easy to turn to others and express our love for them. But how easy is it to do the same for yourself? Why do we neglect one of the most important relationships in our lives—the one with ourselves?

Carl Rogers, the founder of person-centered therapy, said it best:

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
